jira roadmap multiple projects

chat with others in the program, or give feedback to atlassian. we are very interested in jira, but what is of great importance to us, is that we have a general overview/roadmap of all the projects we will be working on in the future. for example: every order/project that has to finished in q1 of 2019 we want to see in a roadmap/overview with a general forecast of time/story points. at the moment, we are just using a kanban board with columns q4, q1, q2.. to get a general overview of our orders. the first thing that comes to mind would be portfolio for jira. how big are they, how do you schedule them¬†(are you an agile organisation or do you run projects in a more waterfall way), are your teams dedicated project teams or are they involved in a ton of other stuff as well, … all these parameters may impact what solution is best.

those are just a few references to get you started. they should be able to help you match your requirements to the best solution. we are a company that has been working with a waterfall approach, but we are trying to get some more agile mindset in our teams and that’s why we are looking into jira. at this point we get lost in the amount of work and we do not have the right tools to visualize everything to get our planning up to date. we were looking for the same, and again the answer as it always seems to be is ootb jira doesnt provide it, but you can buy an add on for this simple thing. we end up paying $10 per month for every little thing that jira doesn’t do and soon all the add-ons cost you a fortune.

this would be an awesome feature if there was a way to spin up next-gen boards to add a filter to and have the visibility across multiple projects. for example, i have two different next gen projects with project keys:¬† pfw, ppiw this returns all of the tickets in those projects. i’m using the roadmaps at the individual project level, and then i have a board that includes all projects. every time i create a new next gen project, i have to remember to configure the workflow for that project, and then come back to my big board column settings and drag the statuses for that new project into the board column it belongs to.

i just created a new classic project to double check and i still have all the extra stuff in the sidebar. this is not ideal, but for the time being i have created a separate project called roadmap. i m using next-gen projects and i simply want to create a board with multiple projects. i think it must be something to do with project permissions as on the column settings screen i can see the number of issues per column.

currently, on a next-gen project, it’s not possible to edit the roadmap filter, so it will only show the epics from that specific project where the roadmap is. you can use portfolio for jira that gives the ability to add multiple projects on a plan and roadmap. we are currently looking into options for an application do to project issue tracking. we are very interested in jira, but has it been prioritized yet? i’d love to have a single visual on multiple jira projects . thank you!, jira portfolio, jira portfolio, jira advanced roadmaps, jira roadmap planner, roadmap for multiple projects.

solved: i really love the new roadmap feature. unfortunately, many of the boards we use contain issues across multiple solved: can i create single road map for multiple projects? you can use portfolio for jira that gives the ability to add multiple projects for one roadmap. we have a, jira roadmap plugin, jira planner, jira next-gen board multiple projects, jira portfolio roadmap
